The synthetic footage was immediately recognizable to anyone who works with generative video (uncanny hand movements, cartoonish facial expressions, unnatural camera motion (but effective enough to make the point: this technology exists, it works, and it is accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
Pascal Kaufmann, presenting as a Swiss AI entrepreneur, repeatedly referenced "Swiss GPT" as evidence of domestic AI capability. The technical reality: Swiss GPT does not use a Swiss-developed model. It runs the same OpenAI models that power ChatGPT, hosted on Microsoft Azure servers located in Switzerland. The value proposition is data residency, not model innovation. For organizations with strict data sovereignty requirements (hospitals, government agencies (this matters. But framing it as "Swiss DNA" in AI is marketing, not engineering.
The distinction between model development and model hosting is not semantic. The jobs least threatened by AI are those requiring physical presence, manual dexterity in unstructured environments, or real-time human interaction.
