Polygon Software, which I co-founded with Marius Högger and Frank Huber during our informatics studies at UZH, received the official UZH Startup label in 2021. At the time the company had 15 employees, 11 of whom were current UZH informatics students. The team built custom software for small and medium-sized enterprises computer-supported data analysis, automated label recognition via image recognition, and machine-learning-based quality control for manufacturing lines.
The UZH Startup label is an official recognition by the University of Zurich for startups founded by UZH students or alumni, acknowledging their academic origins and innovative potential.
Polygon Software specializes in smart software solutions and web applications, including computer-supported data analysis, automated label recognition using image recognition, and machine-learning-based quality control for manufacturing.
Polygon Software was founded by Joel Barmettler, Marius Högger, and Frank Huber, all UZH informatics students. The management team also includes Daniel Gächter, a UZH alumnus.
